Barry has been involved in the earthmoving industry for 50 years, initially working for contracting companies before gaining experience working across three Caterpillar dealers.
Barry’s career spanned 20 years in the industry before founding Force Equipment 30 years ago with his wife Diane and co-Director Greg Bond in the eastern goldfields town of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Today Barry remains an active Director of Force Equipment, applying his management skills and experience to oversee both financial and operational management to company and industry standards. Barry’s role includes a particular focus on the safety performance of the company.
Diane Stewart, Company Director
Diane’s career in the mining industry spanned across Port Hedland and Kalgoorlie-Boulder for a period in excess of 35 years, including 5 years working with the Chamber of Minerals and Energy in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
During this time Diane gained extensive experience and exposure to the mining industry and culture in Western Australia which was invaluable in her role setting up the administration of the finance and operation divisions of Force Equipment when she co-founded the company with husband Barry Stewart and Director Greg Bond.
Diane has continued to oversee the operation and administration of these departments for over 25 years and remains actively involved in the overall operation of the general company administration as Company Director.
Greg Bond, Company Director
Greg became involved in the earthmoving equipment industry in the early 1980’s through the local WA Caterpillar Dealer at the time Wigmore Tractors, now WesTrac Pty Ltd.
Following his time with Wigmores Greg founded Force Equipment with fellow Directors Barry and Diane Stewart in 1987.
Since inception Greg has been instrumental in managing customer relationships and new business development as well as corporate administration and contract management. Greg continues this integral role with Force Equipment today.
Jason John, CEO
Jason has over 38 years’ experience in the earthmoving plant industry. Joining Wigmore Tractors (now WesTrac Pty Ltd) in 1979 Jason gained valuable knowledge of the industry in his 10 years of service with the Caterpillar dealer.
Joining Force Equipment in 1989 as a Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic, Jason has held a number of roles within the company including Workshop and Maintenance Manager, General Manager and now Chief Executive Officer.
Jason has been a key contributor to the strategic growth and planning of the company over the past 28 years and continues this role today in conjunction with the department managers.
Ben MacKinnon, Chief Financial Officer
Ben has over 15 year experience in corporate finance and accounting and in this time has worked with Ernst & Young, VDM Group and Gavin Construction prior to joining the team at Force Equipment.
Ben combines his qualifications in Accounting and Finance with a strong background across multiple industries and brings experience in finance, systems implementation and business process re-engineering to this integral management role at Force Equipment.
